Winter Warmers!

Guru Rinpoche Day was especially blessed this month with the arrival of gifts from Malaysia and Singapore for the mini-monk: warm winter clothing from thermal underwear to trousers, gloves, coats and hats, socks, shoes, t-shirts and jumpers….everything you can imagine.

Besides the clothing a variety of food and medicines, along with stationery supplies for their schoolrooms, made up the nine boxes. Noodles, Milo, milk, porridge oats, whiteboard and ballpoint pens, plain and coloured pencils, highlighters, rubbers, board dusters, sticky notes, stickers, paper, cough medicine, vitamins, tiger balm…..the list just went on and on! Not to mention the wonderful ‘Book of the Human Body’, closely studied by clinic staff before being handed over to the monks!

I was given the job of offering a bag of noodles to each monk on your behalf - much smiling and good cheer resulting as you can see.

As you know, blessings are multiplies 100,000 times on this most auspicious of days, so to all of you who donated to the mini-monks and HUGE THANK YOU - and many many blessings upon you!
